Mrs. Roesler

Hello Kenwood students and parents!

My name is Mary Roesler, and I have been the school librarian at Kenwood Elementary School since 2012.  My previous experience in education includes being a High School English and speech teacher at Gibbon High School, and a paraprofessional at Horizon Middle School and Kearney High School. I have worked at the Kearney Public Library & Information Center, the Kearney High School Library, and at the Calvin T. Ryan Library. Someday, I would love to add Bookmobile Librarian to my credentials. Working on a library on wheels is on my bucket list. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Education degree in 7-12 English from the University of Nebraska Kearney, and a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology with a School Librarian concentration from the University of Nebraska Kearney.

I teach all Kindergarten through Fifth grade students in library class once a week. Students will learn about library and information skills, technology skills, digital citizenship, and literature appreciation in library class, as well as have the opportunity to check out books. I look forward to seeing you in the library and at Book Fairs!
