Speech-Language Information

Many parents and teachers ask me if a student's speech sounds are delayed. In Nebraska, we refer to the Iowa-Nebraska Articulation Norms to help determine if certain sound errors are no longer developmentally appropriate. If caregivers and the teacher notice the child has delayed speech sounds, either party may refer the child to your school's Student Assistance Team to discuss possible interventions.
Parents, do you have a concern about your child's speech-language skills? Check out this Speech-Language Concerns by Grade page.
