We will be having our Annual Walk and Bike to School Day on Friday September 8th. This is one of many events that is put on each year by our student wellness committee called Fuel Up to Play 60, led by our PE teacher, Mrs. Gillaspy. Fuel Up to Play 60 conducts a variety of events that encourage physical, mental, emotional, and community wellness. On Walk and Bike to School Day the students that walk, bike, skate, or ride scooters to school will be greeted by the Fuel Up to Play 60 Students inside the playground fence by the 11th Street Crosswalk and by the 8th Street Crosswalk. The participants will be given a Fuel Up to Play 60 sticker by our greeters that will serve as their ticket into a drawing for prizes. We will NOT have a drop-off location at Centennial Park this year like we have had in the past, so please do not leave your children there unattended! You may choose to park and walk with your student from a few blocks away to still be included in our fun event. We appreciate your enthusiasm and participation in this event! Go Cougars!
