Mrs. Gilbreath's Second Grade Classroom!

Welcome to 2nd grade at Kenwood Elementary!  I am so excited to start our school year full of learning and adventures! 

 

I look forward to getting to know you as the school year begins.  I want to let you know a little about me.  I went to UNK and majored in Elementary Education and Special Education.  I also have my Masters Degree in Reading Instruction from UNK.  I was a special education teacher for 12 years in Indiana, Springfield, NE and Kearney.  I taught for six years at Kenwood as a special education teacher.  This will be my fifth year as a second grade teacher.  I am married to Mr. Gilbreath and he is an optometrist in Kearney.  We have three children.  Caden will be a seventh grader at HMS and he loves watching and playing sports, including football, basketball, and baseball.  Kynley will be a fourth grader at Kenwood and she loves to do all sports including volleyball, basketball and softball.  Kendyl just turned eight and she is going to be in second grade at Kenwood.  Kendyl also loves to dance, play softball, volleyball and basketball.  As a family we love to travel, go to sporting events, and do anything outside.
