Singing, Moving, Playing, and Creating!

Mr. Consbruck is the K-5 Music specialist at Kenwood Elementary. Mr. C will be starting his 6th year in Kearney Public Schools.  Mr. Consbruck graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2019 with his Bachelor's in K-12 Music Education, and has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. Mr. Consbruck is a certified Orff - Schulwerk teacher, having completed all 3 levels as of this summer. He has also completed Level I of World Music Drumming.

In music class, students will get the opportunity to learn a wide variety of music, dance and move their bodies in fun and exploratory ways, play different types of instruments, and create their own music. Students will prepare a combined grade level music program every year. 4th and 5th grade students will also have the opportunity to audition for Sing Around Nebraska and All State on corresponding years.
