Mrs. Richey
Hello!
I am Kristen Richey, a Speech Language Pathologist with Kearney Public Schools serving students at Kenwood Elementary School. I have been with KPS since 2011 and was with the Educational Service Unit 10 for 4 years prior. I received my bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and I am a certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). I am fortunate to work at Kenwood every day during the school week with students in every grade.
It is an honor and joy to be able to work with our students, teachers, and families at KPS! As a SLP, I am certified to help students with a variety of disabilities including: language; voice; fluency or stuttering; articulation; and swallowing. During the school day, you may find me working with students individually, in groups, or in the classroom working alongside the Kenwood classroom teachers. I serve my students depending upon what is best for his/her individual needs. It is my goal to help my students reach their communication potential and to make a positive impact in their lives.
I live in Kearney with my husband, Greg, and our four boys, Luke, Jake, Kohl, and Mark. We have a yellow Labrador dog named, Sunni. As a family, we enjoy the outdoors by being at the lake, fishing, biking, and exploring. We also love sports. My husband and I enjoy spending time watching our boys participate in their various sporting events.
Please feel free to contact me anytime.
