Singing, Moving, Playing, and Creating!

Mr. Consbruck is the K-5 Music specialist at Kenwood Elementary. Mr. C will be starting his 5th year in Kearney Public Schools.  Mr. Consbruck graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2019 with his Bachelor's in K-12 Music Education, and has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. Mr. Consbruck has completed Levels I and II of Orff-Schulwerk, and Level I of World Music Drumming.

 

In music class, students will get the opportunity to learn a wide variety of music, dance and move their bodies in fun and exploratory ways, play different types of instruments, and create their own music. Students will prepare a combined grade level music program every year. 4th and 5th grade students will also have the opportunity to audition for honor festivals on corresponding years, and will also have the opportunity to be a part of the Kenwood Cougar Chorus and Orff Group!
